A diagnostic OPG (Orthopantomagram) is a dental X-ray of the upper and lower jaw scanning panoramic aspects. The OPG image shows a two-dimensional flat view of a half-circle image from ear to ear. Panoramic x-rays can take images from multiple angles then make it a composite panoramic image, where the upper jaw and lower jaw are in the focused area. The structures outside the focused, viewed area are blurred for a clearer perception.
